I wonder if they can match the quality of the defacto charators and the built from the ground up Customized ones in this new game.
Thats freaky looking seems to be on par with some CGI movies already in the dialog(ue) scenes.
Much of the DLC come from Playstation exclusives or games that found their new home only on Playstation(most of the time or all)

1st pic. The PS3 version has exaggerated lighting with weaker draw distance.
2nd pic. The sky visual effects are missing effects and the trees a fuzzed up and don't have real detail on the level of the first game.

Wii came out a year later.
MSFT's lineup and tactics are also part of the reason.
PS3 is behind because casuals were the bulk of PS2 success and the Wii has won over that group of consumers lol.

I would take what devs/companies have to say with a grain of salt. I wouldn't take what most say to the bank. The last 6 or 7 multi platform dealings have appeared one way only later to be proven wrong again and again.
